NAWJ NEW YORK CONDUCTS SPEED MENTORING PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AT ST. JOHNS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW IN QUEENS

On April 18th, one of the co-chairs of the newly formed Law School Outreach Committee, Honorable Sally E. Unger (Civil Court of the City of New York) along with Lourdes Ventura, a Partner at Ahmuty, Demers & McManus, organized a successful speed mentoring program at St. Johns University School of Law in Queens, New York. Approximately 50 mentors and mentees attended, including law school Dean and Professor of Law Michael A. Simons, and Hon. Marguerite Grays (11th Judicial District, Civil Term, Queens Court), President-Elect of NAWJ’s New York Chapter. Joining in collaboration were longtime NAWJ supporter the Queens County Women’s Bar Association, the law firm of Ahmuty, Demers & McManus, and the Career Development Office of St. John's University School of Law.
