To mark the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of 19th Amendment, USA TODAY Network is naming the Women of the Century. This list recognizes 10 women from all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, and the contributions each made to her state and to the country. Among the politicians, artists, scientists and legendary sports figures, you will find members of the judiciary including Senior Judge Martha Craig “Cissy” Daughtrey, U.S Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; and U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sandra Day O’Connor and Sonia Sotomayor. You can peruse the stories of these Women of the Century, by state, here.
