Last month, the State Bar of Michigan recognized the work of Project Access, that provides residents with knowledge and access to the criminal expungement process for rural communities, with its Kimberly M. Cahill Bar Leadership Award. The award is given to individuals or groups for excellence in promoting the ideal of professionalism or equal justice for all, or in responding to a compelling legal need within the community during the past year or on an ongoing basis.
