Pathways to the Administrative Judiciary: Many Roads, Many Destinations
A panel of administrative law judges will describe their paths to their respective positions in state and federal administrative tribunals. This program will include insights and practical advice for lawyers and law students considering this career path.
After this presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Summarize the wide variety of federal and state administrative tribunals, jurisdictions, and caseloads.
- Describe some of the ways to become an administrative law judge or a member of the administrative judiciary.
- Determine if they have or can acquire the key skills and attributes identified by supervisory/managing/hiring ALJs for success in the administrative judiciary.
