NAWJ 15th Annual Meeting with the Congressional Women's Caucus

Families in Crisis: The Impact of the Pandemic on Families in the Wake of COVID-19

NAWJ’s Annual Meetings with the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues convenes leaders of the judiciary and Congress to create and maintain a basis for common support and assistance on mutual issues. This year on September 16, 2020, NAWJ presented a panel addressing the challenges caused by COVID-19’s disruption in the lives of women and their families. The coronavirus pandemic is a public health and safety emergency for women who suffer from domestic violence, cornered by the pandemic’s virus while incarcerated, and those struggling to maintain the mental balance necessary to accomplish work, meet economic needs, and ensure they and their family members remain whole.  Video recordings of the meeting are below.  The full panel discussion is the last video.
