Matching Inmates with Transition Programs, Services & Legal Aid
The NAWJ Resource Fair provides a valuable opportunity for NAWJ members and the organization as a whole to become a part of the solution to mass incarceration. Through this Fair, services that the inmates will need upon release are presented at the jail. The inmates are able to move from table to table and meet with agency and organization representatives to help match the inmates with what they need to become employed, enrolled in a needed program or to attend college. The inmates receive brochures and other materials to help them adjust to a law-abiding life upon release.
