Nancy Gertner; and the challenge from Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan, responding to the Report, to suggest ways for HLS to help change the profession and ensure that women lawyers will remain and advance to leadership positions in large firms at the same rate as their male colleagues. A number of provocative suggestions have already come out of preliminary discussions.
