The Honorable Sherri Hale is an Associate Judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in Will County, IL. Appointed in June 2021, she previously dedicated her legal career to public service, working as a trial attorney for the Will County Public Defender’s Office in Joliet, IL. Beyond her daily courtroom responsibilities, Judge Hale’s judicial work includes launching Will County’s Annual Law Day Observance, serving as co-chair of the Summer Extern Program, and contributing as a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presenter for the local bar association.

Judge Hale is a native of St. Louis, MO, and has called Illinois home since 2006. She is married to Dr. Bryan Hale, an educational administrator. They currently live in Will County, Illinois, with their two children, Sarah and Brandon. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kentucky State University in 1997 and a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University in 2006. After twenty years serving within the Illinois legal community, Judge Hale is looking forward to expanding her service outreach through leadership in NAWJ.
