Jeffrey W. Groton joined NAWJ in December 2002, bringing to the organization 20 years of business operations and financial management experience. Born in Salisbury, Maryland, Jeff served one tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force then attended Salisbury University where he received his B.S. in Business from the Perdue School of Business. He then relocated to Washington, D.C. where he has held positions such as V.P., Banking Operations, and Managing Director of Human Resources and Administration. Jeff then moved to New York City where he served as Chief Operating Officer of a management consulting firm. In the aftermath of 9/11, Jeff returned to Washington, D.C. to join the NAWJ staff. Jeff is responsible for all aspects of business operations, meeting logistics and financial management, and he supports the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in the execution of the mission of NAWJ.
Lavinia Cousin joined NAWJ in June 2007, bringing to the organization marketing, development, project management, analysis, and strategic planning skills from her experiences in various non-profit organizations. Lavinia attended Mt. Holyoke College where she received her B.A. in Philosophy. Lavinia is the Programs and Publications Assistant for NAWJ.
